In this class, you will learn and practice the basics of Life Drawing (anatomy, perspective, foreshortening, contrapposto) as well as Gesture Drawing in order to breathe life into your work.  For those just starting out, you will develop the ability to see tonal values, the shapes of light and dark, and move away from the stylized images that we often carry in our heads from childhood. 

All levels are welcome and each person will be encouraged to pursue their own style, mark, and interests.  In subsequent classes, and according to interest, we can explore the more dynamic fast paced style of working that Claire specializes in, which is an enhanced style of Gesture Drawing.
